How to Care for a ZZ Plant
• Position in bright, indirect light for the strongest growth, although it will tolerate considerably lower light levels.
• Allow the compost to dry thoroughly between waterings. Its water-storing rhizomes mean it is much happier slightly too dry than too wet.
• Use a free-draining houseplant compost and always allow excess water to escape from the pot.
• Feed approximately once a month during spring and summer with a balanced houseplant fertiliser.
• Water considerably less frequently during the cooler, darker winter months.
• Wipe the leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to remove dust and maintain their naturally glossy appearance.
